This unique Shan Tai Yai Standing Teak Wood Buddha is from the Shan State in Myanmar (Formely Burma).
All photos of this piece were taken in natural light without using photo shop. This Standing Shan Ava period Buddha statue has it's hands in the (Dharmachakra Mundra). This mundra is representing Buddha during his first sermon following his enlightenment and represents continuous flow of energy. This special piece was acquired from a Burmese collector. This antique Buddha statue was carved from one piece of teak wood and is a very rare piece to add to any ones personal collection.
All of our Buddha Statues are unique pieces. This piece has been certified by the Fine Arts Department of the Kingdom of Thailand.
